Days are flying by more than I could have ever imagined. My typical day now runs from about 4 a.m. to 9:00 or 10 p.m. Welcome to motherhood! It is a very delicate balancing act,and I have now just got a normal routine down. It took a while to balance home and work, but I am feeling much more comfortable and sane after being back to work for around a month!
Here is my new challenge: (like I’m not repeating myself!) getting those extra pounds OFF before they take over my life. My stomach still looks like I am 3 months pregnant, even though I have heard a c-section takes months to get the weight down, uhhhh…it’s been 3 months. Now, I have to say I go to the YMCA and try to stretch out, but I do not have a routine, including diet. Yesterday I ate fast food for the first time in a while and I could just feel the calories packing on. It takes extreme discipline in working out and preparing healthy meals. My cooking style habits have been like a yo-yo. One night I make Salmon and veggies and the next night I cook pizza. It just seems really hard some nights to cook a full healthy meal and actually sit down and enjoy it. Some days you just want to collapse on the couch and play the ‘bouncy man’ game with my son! He likes to practice standing up with a little help! Anyway, I need to learn preparation… getting the week ready… so on. This is all new to me and I have never really had to worry about my weight. Also with that being said, I have always remained really active. That helps!
So, here we go, I am getting really serious about working out and feeling better with MORE energy. That’s all for now, so wish me luck and if you know any diet or program…way of life that really worked for you…let me know!! I’m not into ‘fad’ diets… I think they are a joke! Thanks, and as always make it a good one! Carmen Brown

There was a spot on the Today show this morning (10/06) about a girl who lost her weight by NOT dieting, but eating lots of spicy stuff like peppers and lots of water. She said she paid $58 for one session with a trainer to get a "routine" written down and now she follows it with no pressure except the water and spices. Good luck on your progress and NEVER pass up a game of bouncy... I'd give ANYTHING to have mine small enough for that again!!!
