Time is ticking and the clock is getting closer to the big day. I'm feeling rather organic and 'mommyish' at 30 weeks! As the weeks pass, I'm getting a little more anxious …baby room, CPR Class, rearranging the house, getting the unnecessary out of the house…oh…and set up the crib!!
Did I forget the baby shower's coming up as well??? That's the fun part - -getting to hang out with loved ones, eating a bunch of food, and opening presents!
For some reason, I feel like he (it's a boy) is going to make an early appearance. I'm not sure why I have this feeling, but I have had it since I found out I was pregnant. Either way, the prayer of every mom is to have a healthy baby. As far as what I have done, we have painted the room a baby blue color. At first I did not want to do a blue color, but it came out to be the choice that goes best with the bedding I've been looking at. That's about as far as we've got on the nursery. (It took 2 months to clean it out - -it was a storage room before!) Today, I think I will work on getting the closets cleaned out – such a glamorous job!
So you see, my martini nights with the girls have turned into picking out the best crib with the right safety features (ha-ha). It's beyond worth it! My girls have saved a special place for me for a later date! So there you have it, getting things done one step at a time. I'll check back in here soon - -Carmen
